The National Holding is implementing the NetworkSchool project.
Samruk-Kazyna plans to buy two hotels to accommodate specialists attracted from countries whose citizens face restrictions in obtaining visas to the United States and European Union countries. This was announced by the chairman of the board of the fund, Nurlan Zhakupov, Kursiv reports.
“We are implementing a project called NetworkSchool. We will open a network school NetworkSchool in Kazakhstan, we will buy premises - two hotels so that IT specialists from different countries can stay there. We plan to attract strong IT people who have a high IQ and a weak passport,” he said during the AFD.
According to him, these hotels will accommodate IT specialists from those countries whose citizens are now finding it difficult to obtain a visa to the United States and the European Union due to recent political changes.
“This investor can use Kazakhstan as a safe and comfortable jurisdiction, just like Dubai. We have good infrastructure. Unlike Dubai, however, it is not so hot in Astana in the summer, and in winter you will have to wear jackets. But in general, the idea is to attract the best IT talent from other countries with a weak passport and a good IQ,” said Nurlan Zhakupov.
The head of the national holding noted that the investor will find jobs for these IT specialists in technology giants in the IT industry and will earn money on three streams. The first is accommodation and housing, the second is commission from tech giants and the third is the creation of IT startups.
“We will have the opportunity to benefit from such startups. This is evidence that we are on the right development trajectory,” he said.
Nurlan Zhakupov did not specify how many people the two hotels that the national holding plans to buy will be able to accommodate, as well as how many foreign IT specialists are expected to attract in general.
