Representatives of Russian government agencies and business took part in the expert discussion. The importance of using automation and artificial intelligence in the field of public procurement in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union was emphasized by the Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Maxim Ermolovich at the Moscow Financial Forum. Speaking at the panel session “Automation and artificial intelligence - assistants to participants in the contract system,” the EEC Minister emphasized: “Artificial intelligence enhances the quality of data and rules that are already built into the system. If data is not comparable and documents are not machine-readable, automation will perpetuate market fragmentation rather than overcome it. Therefore, agreed upon classifiers, formats and machine-readable documents are not a technical detail for us, but a condition for AI to work for the common market of the Union.” Maxim Ermolovich noted the effects of digitalization of procurement systems in the member states, assessed the results achieved and spoke about the barriers to free access to government procurement that hinder the formation of a single digital space within the EAEU. At the same time, he emphasized the capabilities of the Eurasian registry
industrial goods as an effective tool for ensuring access to government procurement. “A practical example of a union digital resource is the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods,” said the EEC Minister. “It has been maintained by the Commission since 2020, includes information about 48 thousand goods, the production of which is confirmed on the territory of the EAEU, and receives an average of about two thousand requests per day.” At the end of his speech, Maxim Ermolovich summarized: “We have learned to conduct digital procurement. The next challenge is to learn how to do it together. Digitalization will give an integration effect when a supplier from any state of the Union can go through someone else’s procedure as easily as their own. There are technologies for this; we need agreed rules.” Kaspi Gold is now in Apple Pay The Kazakhstan IT services market has almost doubled Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro: a premium gadget for managing stress and burnout in a big city From Excel to a digital and AI enterprise: how medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan can build a unified SAP ecosystem Alla Zatsepilova, Bereke Bank: for a digital balance in caring for clients Asel Marchenko, NPK of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan: we are iteratively developing digital infrastructure Digital Kings: Evgeniy Shcherbinin Bolat
