To date, over 21 thousand medical organizations, 221 thousand units of medical equipment and data of 257 thousand medical workers have been digitized. As a result of combining data and strengthening control, 400 thousand out-of-date patient records associated with 1.4 million prescriptions were excluded from the medical system, which made it possible to prevent costs of 31 billion tenge. Unreasonable consumption of medical services was reduced by 7.1%, or about 7 billion tenge, while the efficiency of error detection increased 3.5 times.
On behalf of the President, a Unified State Medical Information System is being created, which should unite all disparate private systems into one and become a single working tool for the doctor. 7 of the Ministry’s 12 systems have already been united: data is now entered once, documents are generated automatically. This made it possible to reduce the doctor’s time for entering information by 40%. The Unified Medical Data Repository combines information from 12 private medical information systems, registries and reference books and provides integration with more than 50 systems of government agencies. The data accumulated since 2012, starting from July 1 of this year, is used to pay for medical care based on automatic format-logical control.
